Caroling for the Digital Age! Join us as we take to the streets for the second annual performance of Phil Kline's "Unsilent Night" on Friday, Dec. 2nd at 7:30pm! This gorgeous new-music event features interactive, haunting soundscapes played on portable sound devices, carried through the streets all around the world by "audience" members...from Brussels to London, from New York to Fargo! How to participate? 1. Bring your cell phone (and a connected Bluetooth portable speaker if you have one). 2. Download the App ("Unsilent Night" on iTunes and Android App Stores) You'll "perform" one of 4 randomly chosen audio tracks that, when woven together with the rest of the performers, "immerses the listener in suspended wonderment" (The New York Times). We''ll begin at Atomic Coffee on Broadway and process with our music playing to the Moorhead Center Mall. Free hot beverages from Atomic for all participants at the beginning of our musical sojourn, as well as warm drinks and treats from Moorhead Mayor Del Rae Williams at the conclusion! A free shuttle provided by MSUM will also be at the Moorhead Mall to help you get back to your car (parked along Broadway) after the event. The entire event will be 45 minutes long. Post your questions here! Performed with permission granted from Phil Kline’s Unsilent Night.
